Civic Engagement and Advocacy: Mr. Cherchio’s civic journey began immediately upon his move to North Las Vegas in 2001. In response to the aftermath of 9/11, his inability to fly the American flag on his property ignited a passion for community advocacy. His relentless pursuit resulted in a significant victory, securing the right to fly the American flag in all communities—an early testament to his dedication to community values.

Family Life: Married to Gloria for 42 years, Mr. Cherchio cherishes family bonds. They are parents to Lisa, grandparents to Nicole, Allison, and Jennifer (a dedicated member of the Army Reserves), and recently became proud great-grandparents to Elend and Melina.
