MISSION STATEMENT

Since the commencement of my tenure in 2009, my fundamental goal has been to serve as the elected representative for Ward 4 residents. This responsibility, bestowed upon me through their votes, entails being their advocate on all matters concerning our city. When residents entrust their votes to a candidate, they expect that individual to act in their best interests, and upon my re-election in 2019, I swore an oath to fulfill this commitment. Throughout my term, I have endeavored to conduct myself with this mission at the forefront.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• I have prioritized timely responses to all calls and emails from

residents, ensuring that their concerns are heard and addressed

promptly.
2. Decision-Making in the Best Interest of Constituents:

• My decisions on city issues have consistently been guided by what is in the best interest of my constituents, both in the present and for the future.

• Successfully lobbied for and accomplished the construction of a

Veterans Resource Center, located just West of our VA Hospital, in collaboration with the Veterans Community Commission and Council colleagues.

through the creation of the “Paws in The Park” event and stronger ordinances to protect animals from abuse and harsh weather conditions.Worked towards strengthening ordinances to protect all animals from abuse and harsh weather elements when left outside. Successfully changed the name of our animal control to “Animal Protection Services,” highlighting their mission to protect and hold accountable those who inflict harm on animals.

10.Financial Stewardship:
• Worked collectively with the council to transform the city from a

$150 million deficit to a growing municipality, providing additional services, including more police and firefighters and the establishment of a new police and fire station in the north part of Ward 4, all achieved without increasing taxes.

Through these accomplishments, I have aimed to fulfill the trust placed in me by the residents of Ward 4 and contribute to the overall well-being and progress of our city.
